In the 3D world, I used my knowledge in Autodesk Maya to complete a 3D Chess set design. The project was to work in a pair to come up with an idea and who was going to design which side of the set. Once these details were decided, we individually designed our own pieces based on the idea and side that we chose. As a group we decided on a Harry Potter theme; and I had chosen the black pieces, which I thought would be good for the evil side since it is dark and mysterious. The pieces include pawn: the ring, bishop: the diadem, rook: the chalice, knight: the locket, queen: the snake, and king: Voldemort. These pieces were made in Maya and prepared for printing using Meshmixer.
